1998 Silverado 2500, 454 big block, functioning transmission, only 129k miles. Now we’re covered in case we ever need to tow the Monte and Camaro at the same time!

Solid choice.

It’s beautiful, and functioning transmissions are always a plus

And now to turn it into a drift missile.
Nice truck!

We had a 97 k2500 suburban with that engine/trans for a long while (we eventually put on a protech supercharger, tubular headers etc) Great truck...crap interior. Also keep on top of ball joints up front. What axle ratio?

Thanks :) I almost forgot, it even fits in our driveway!

Aww hell yeah!

Yes indeed. The Blazer is finally leaving us tomorrow too, and that cash will go straight into new tires for this one.

Well, it has the row of lights on the roof, so you know it’s a serious machine.

454/4L80E is a solid drivetrain! Congrats.
Check the brake lines though...

All good as far as we could tell!

That looks to be in glorious shape.
Sweet buy!

Yea it’s a pretty basic interior but comfy and in really nice shape. Will have to check the RPOs on the axle ratio, but according to the VIN it’s either 3.73 or 4.10

Thanks!

Nice find! If you’re ever going to be road-tripping it, Escalade seats make a huge difference. The bench in my C1500 kinda sucked when it came to angle and lumbar support, plus the center console from the Escalade is such a nice thing to have.

I laughed when I saw this as well! “Functioning transmission” shouldn’t be a selling point - more a necessity.

Yeah those were the only two ratios offer with that trans and engine combo. We had that 3.73 it was pretty good on fuel actually All Things Considered

Eeeeeenteresting, I will have to look into that. thanks for the tip!

Thats a Michigan truck? dang fooled me.

VERY nice! I know it seems like C/Ks are a dime a dozen, but one like this in the shape that it’s in is kind of a unicorn. You did good; real good.

No problem! The seats and console shouldn’t be more than $200 from the junkyard in decent shape, and apparently they bolt right in with all the factory holes.

heh that’s definitely it’s good side, other one has a rusty cab corner. previous owner never drove it in the winter, only to tow his fifth wheel camper in the summer.

it seems like a luxury when the last winter truck had a 4L60!

Nice find!!!! I’m very jelly.

Damn, that’s a good score.

Considering it was$1500, yes it is.

Wow! Clean. Nice truck.

I have a bad case of the wants. This is good truck. I always imagine that generation of trucks as like big metal dogs. Like a chubby retriever or lab. They just kinda lope around but are still your best friend.

Very accurate :) hoping it’ll give us years of loyalty
